Terms of Service

Last updated: May 19, 2026 · Effective at app launch (estimated May 30, 2026)

Entity disclosure: The Ride N Share platform is owned and operated by 1590753 B.C. Ltd. (the "Owner"), with technology services provided by TriOneness (the "Technology Service Provider"). Additional brands operated under the same Owner include Gud.ahl RidenShare and Haida Gwaii RidenShare.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, tapping "I Agree", or using the Ride N Share app or website (the "Service"), you enter into a binding click-wrap agreement with 1590753 B.C. Ltd. and accept these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated from Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, Canada, and is governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.

2. Who can use Ride N Share

3. The community model

Ride N Share is a community rideshare platform. Drivers, captains, and skill-share participants are independent operators, not employees of Ride N Share. We connect riders with drivers and captains; we do not operate vehicles or boats. Each driver/captain is responsible for their own vehicle, insurance, and compliance with local law.

4. Payments & fees

5. Skill share

The skill share feature lets users offer services (e.g. tutoring, repair, art) in exchange for ride credits or cash. Skill share transactions are between the two users; Ride N Share is not a party to them. Use common sense, meet in safe places, and report bad actors via the in-app dispute flow.

6. Your responsibilities

7. Insurance & liability

Drivers and captains must maintain valid insurance covering passenger transport for the activities they offer on the Service. P2P rental hosts must hold an active ICBC policy and provide proof of insurance; a Certificate of Insurance is issued per booking and must be in force before the rental period begins. Renters must be at least 25 years old. Ride N Share does not provide a primary insurance policy on top of operators' policies at this time. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

Mechanical failure indemnity: 1590753 B.C. Ltd., TriOneness, and their officers, directors, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any mechanical failure, breakdown, accident, injury, property damage, or consequential loss arising from a vehicle or vessel listed by an independent operator. Hosts and drivers are solely responsible for vehicle maintenance, safety, and roadworthiness. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

7a. ICBC data sharing

You acknowledge and consent that, in connection with P2P vehicle rentals, trip logs, GPS breadcrumbs, period timestamps (delivery, rental, return), odometer readings, incident reports, and Certificate-of-Insurance metadata may be shared with the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) on request, with valid claim numbers, audit requests, or law-enforcement orders. Trip records are retained for seven (7) years for ICBC audit compliance.

7b. Telematics & incident reporting

During active trips and rentals the Service collects periodic GPS telemetry. A one-touch in-app incident button archives the most recent 15 minutes of GPS data and routes it to the Owner's legal desk for evidence preservation.

8. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, fall below a 4.0 rating, or breach Canadian law. You may delete your account anytime via Profile → Delete Account or by emailing us — see Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

9. Intellectual property

The Ride N Share name, logo, "Good for You and Me For the Trees" motto, app design, and website content are the property of Ride N Share. Haida-language content is used with respect and gratitude under guidance from local Haida community partners; it is not owned by Ride N Share.

10. Disputes

Most disputes can be resolved in-app via the dispute flow. For unresolved disputes, the parties will first attempt good-faith mediation. If mediation fails, disputes will be resolved by the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll post any material changes here and notify you in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
