We respectfully acknowledge that Ride N Share operates on the ancestral, unceded territory of the Haida Nation, stewards of Haida Gwaii since time immemorial. Ride N Share supports the revival of Skidegate Haida (Xaayda Kil) and Old Massett Haida (Xaad Kil). Text messages will show up in both Haida dialects and proper pronunciation to help you learn this amazing language of this magical place.
Haida is one of the most endangered languages in the world — fewer than 20 fluent first-language speakers remain. By weaving both dialects into an app locals use every day, Ride N Share aims to put Haida words back into daily life: in greetings, in directions, in thank-yous between drivers and riders. Every ride becomes a small act of language revival.
This is not decorative. It is stewardship. The more the app is used in Haida, the more the language lives.
Each word shows the Haida spelling, a phonetic guide so anyone can try it, and a 🔊 listen button to hear it spoken.
We built the first-pass translations with care, but we are not fluent speakers. We humbly ask Haida citizens — especially elders and language keepers — to help us correct, refine, and grow the translations so they are worthy of the language.

When both friends click Yes, the translation updates automatically across the whole app. No gatekeepers, no committees, no waiting on us.

Smart Contract
You agree to 1 hour electrical work = 1 ride, with a default penalty if either side can't deliver. Arbitrum blockchain seals the deal. App takes its small fee. Done.
You benefit as the rider. I benefit as the driver. The planet benefits because one less car is on the road.
